Zamas Hotel is committed to reducing our impact on the magical lands that support us. From the very beginning we've endeavored to create a business model that thrives in symbiosis with our environment by maintaining low-density construction with local materials, recycling and reducing single use plastic, and using wind, solar, and low-energy appliances. We source local ingredients for the restaurant whenever possible, and hire from the communities that surround us. This year we're especially proud of our turtle stewardship program as we've had a record 27 nests so far this season! 

Additionally, in partnership with Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program, we support Na’atik Language & Cultural Center. The mission of Na’atik Language & Cultural Center is to provide scholarships and affordable English classes to bright, deserving students in the local Maya community so they may find better employment opportunities and continue studying higher education. Through Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program, Zamas Hotel donates $2 US from every stay to support Na’atik.
