About Us

The Zamas founders purchased this dormant coconut plantation in 1986, and moved with their young family to Tulum in 1993, where they began cooking meals by the sea for campers who made their way to their palm frond door. Over time, they built each cabaña with a unique design and much love, growing the property into the 23-room and two Casas hotel it is today. 

Our property has 3 areas of accommodations: the Beachfront and Coconut Grove garden rooms are beachside and close to the restaurant; the Jungle rooms and Casas are jungle side across the beach road, close to the pool and with easy access to the beach, restaurant, and dive shop.
